Chart art origins

It all started with Bitcoin, and in particular, this chart. The area chart, all filled in black, gave such a mood to the chart i'd not seen before, it really stuck with me. The simplicity of the silhouette figure jumping from the top of the chart into the unknown summed up exactly how i felt about trading Bitcoin at the time.
