CT Weekly Review - Jan 22nd 2022

If you’re plugged in to ct 24/7 then you probably don’t need to read this review, but, if you still have your mental health intact and enjoy life outside of scrolling a timeline of degenerate gamblers, then this might prove to be a good weekly review of things you might have missed. This is my first attempt at creating something like this so feedback is welcome, but for now, this is just what I find funny and what I think were the good bits from ct this week :)

Inversebrah of the week

What at first I thought would be a good idea turned into a scrolling nightmare and I gave up after scrolling back through just one days worth of tweets! This lil shid tweets about a thousand times a day, so reviewing and picking the best Inversebrah of the week is pretty much impossible. Regardless, this one made me laugh the most so I’m going to start this segment off with ‘new pasta’, featuring degenspartan :) I think we should also turn Inversebrah of the week into a ticker because smol thing loves them; and just like that, $IOTW was born

Gainzy

Gainzy gets his own section this week (no doubt it won't be the last) for the utter onslaught of abuse he brought to the timeline of the pfp shown below. No matter if you are rich or poor, or somewhere in-between, the entire timeline united in their hatred of this picture being spammed incessantly on the timeline. Of course, this just added fire to the gainzy fuelled wojak tweet frenzy, and for every negative comment or abusive dm, gainzy's powers grew and grew to the point he had control of the timeline, and had ct begging him to stop.

Podcasts

Not sure if I’ll keep this in each week because i’m not really a big listener of podcasts, but I always try and tune in for uponlytv because it’s brilliant, plus, this week they had Vitalik on the show! If you haven’t watched this episode yet I highly recommend you do, not only for the crypto insights from Vitalik, but more so for his random out of nowhere comment that someone born today would most likely live to see the year 3000!! Let's just hope it doesn't take that long for eth to hit a new high

Of course, there were some memes made immediately after the show had finished lmao (@fehfios could be someone to watch out for, seen a couple of really good memes by them this week)

Market overview

Looks shit, when things look less shit I might stick a chart or two in, but for now no one wants to see a chart with big red candles on it, so here’s a meme with big red candles on it instead

NFTs

Not going to shill my jpeg bags here, so will only talk about stuff I find interesting or funny, and this week I’m just going to talk about Twitter Blue and how they offer a service (paid for) where you can link up an nft you own as your profile pic. People that have done this now have a hexagon twitter pfp and will most likely create a 100 long tweet thread as to why they did it in the coming weeks (as nft people love an announcement tweet thread :)

Best meme of the week

Going to try and make a note each week of a handful of memes i see then choose the best one for this write up. The correlation to how good the memes get the further price goes down is uncanny, bear market memes hit different and if you weren’t around in 2018 then let me tell you, you’ve at least got this to look forward to if you can stick it out, they get so good. Anyway, this cat @0xCa7 came up with an absolute banger of a reply to a cobie poll asking how much of your portfolio was in stables LMAO, got a follow from me!

Have to also include bags meme this week because i absolutely love it!! sums up ct perfectly, great meme sir

Maker dump

If you didn’t catch the news about Maker potentially dumping $600m of eth unless some dude picks up his phone, then this is a good way of catching up than anything else I’ve seen on the timeline

Best tweet thread

I’ll try and include a decent tweet thread each week that I come across, could be market analysis, could be about nfts, or, could be about how a guy named shitc0in on twitter made 7 figs! I enjoy reading threads like these, can relate on a degen level, and i'm sure you can too.

Going to wrap it up there, for a first stab at a weekly update of ct I think that keeps it fairly light touch to the point that your average ct enjoyoooor might get through it all without straining their brain cells from too much reading.
